How do I install Voxify?
The public install button will be available after the Chrome Web Store listing is approved. During testing, Voxify can be loaded as an unpacked extension from Chrome's Extensions page.
Why do some pages not work?
Chrome blocks extensions from running on restricted pages such as chrome:// pages, the Chrome Web Store, some browser PDFs, and certain internal or empty pages. Voxify shows an unsupported-page message instead of pretending playback started.
Why do voices vary?
Voxify uses voices provided by Chrome and your operating system. Voice count, language support, quality, and offline availability can differ between devices.
What if there is no sound?
Check your system volume, Chrome site sound settings, selected voice, and whether another tab or application is using audio output. Try a different voice in Voxify settings if one is available.
How does click-to-read work?
Click-to-read is off by default. You can opt in from options or the popup settings. When enabled, clicking a normal paragraph starts reading that paragraph and shows the floating widget.
Does Voxify upload my text?
No. Webpage text, selected text, and pasted reader text are processed locally by browser speech APIs. Voxify does not run analytics, accounts, ads, or developer-operated text storage.
Keyboard shortcuts
The extension supports Chrome commands for reading the page and reading selected text. You can view or change shortcuts from Chrome's extension shortcuts page.
How do I contact support?
After the Chrome Web Store listing is live, use the contact method shown on the listing. Include your Chrome version, operating system, page type, and the steps that caused the issue.
