Overview
Voxify is a single-purpose read aloud tool for Chrome. It reads selected text, visible webpage text, or text you paste into the web reader using browser and operating system speech features.
Voxify is designed to avoid collecting your content. The developer does not run analytics, advertising, accounts, user tracking, remote text storage, or a backend service for webpage or pasted text.
What Voxify processes
The extension processes webpage text and selected text locally in your browser so it can read the text aloud and highlight progress. The website reader processes pasted text locally in your current browser tab.
Your settings, such as speed, voice choice, highlight preference, and click-to-read preference, are stored locally with Chrome storage on your device.
What Voxify does not collect
- Voxify does not collect, sell, transfer, or share webpage text, selected text, pasted reader text, or reading history with the developer.
- Voxify does not use analytics, advertising identifiers, cookies for tracking, or third-party tracking scripts.
- Voxify does not require an account and does not ask for your name, email address, payment information, or location.

Permissions
Webpage access: Voxify needs access to normal webpages so it can find readable text, read selected text, show highlighting, and display the floating playback widget. It does not run on restricted Chrome pages where extensions cannot execute.
Storage: Voxify stores your reading preferences locally in Chrome so your settings remain available between sessions.
Text-to-speech: Voxify uses Chrome text-to-speech capabilities for voice discovery and speech playback fallback when available.
Third-party requests
The Voxify website uses self-hosted scripts, styles, and images. It does not load Google Fonts, analytics scripts, ad networks, or remote executable code.
Children
Voxify is a general-purpose accessibility and productivity tool. It is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
This policy may be updated as Voxify changes. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new effective date.
